About the Site
This is a news, humor, and puzzle for charity site started in May of 2006. The original was an experimental ASP-based news site whose purpose was to deduce when the end of the world was going to be and what form it was going to take based on votes from readers. It used actual math with words like “Gaussian” and “time-based weighting”. It was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek “doomsday clock” sort of thing but, in reality, ended up being just too depressing for words. Not my intention, but whatareyagonnado?
In case you are interested: before I shut that site down the world was scheduled to end May 05, 2067. So mark your calendar.
I kept the news icons for this site. I like the blog format better and I like making the puzzles and donating cash to randomly-picked small charities. I am always on the lookout for ways I can tweak the site to make it a little better, so expect changes whenever I get around to it.
Enjoy the site. If you have any questions you can find the contact info on the Contact Us page.
